Montenegro tour

 It's a cultural trip where you can learn a lot about rich historical and

cultural heritage of Montenegro and enjoy in part of its natural beauties.        

Visiting the old capital Cetinje and the palace of the king Nikola you'll see

how in the old times the royal family lived . You'll see beauties of the

mountain Lovcen, one of Montenegrin national parks and the magnificent and

unique fiord, the bay of Kotor and you'll feel the atmosphere of the old

Mediterranean town of Kotor that inside its medieval walls lies under UNESCO

protection, the Cathedral of St. Tripun from 12 century being one of the oldest

sights to see. 

Skadar Lake

 Skadar lake is the largest lake on the Balkan peninsula and is well known for

its beauty and very rich flora and fauna. Clear water everywhere, lush lake

vegetation and the birds and fish you see make this trip very enjoyable. We stop

in a local restaurant for a fresh fish lunch prepared and served in the

traditional way. 

After lunch we return to the hotels by bus. 

Dubrovnik

 We travel by the bus along the beautiful Bay of Kotor, the south- most fiord in

Europe, crossing it by ferry. After crossing the border with Croatia we arrive

at the ancient famous city of Dubrovnik, lying in the sun inside medieval walls.

Dubrovnik is the one of the most beautiful and best preserved medieval

Mediterranean towns, rich with cultural monuments. 

It is under the protection of UNESCO. In the Old City we visit several museums

and churches guided by local guides. After the sightseeing there is free time

for lunch (not included in the price) and shopping or just sitting in one of its

numerous cafe bars and enjoying the atmosphere of this beautiful town. In the

afternoon we return by bus to the hotels. 

Rafting on the river Tara

Rafting on the river Tara is one of the most exciting experiences you can have

in Montenegro. The Tara Canyon is the second deepest in the world, after

Colorado canyon, and it is unique oasis of silence and untouched nature. In the

early morning we leave the hotel, drive inland through the beautiful mountain

scenery. After approx. 3,5 hours drive we arrive at at Šcepan Polje, where

we have a national breakfast. We then start our 4WD journey to the place from

where the rafting starts down the Tara through its white waters. The river is

limpid green and drinkable and the exciting but not dangerous rafting cannot be

described, it can only be experienced. After rafting (app. 3,5 to 4 hours) we

have a local specialities lunch and then we return to the hotels. Breakfast,

rafting and lunch included in price. 

Fish picnic

 We take a boat for a panoramic trip along the most beautiful 

part of the coast, passing by the old town of Budva, the Island 

St. Nicola, the hotel-island Sveti Stefan and some hidden exotic 

beaches. We stop at one of these beaches for a fish lunch 

with drinks and there is the chance to swim in the clear water 

and relax in the sun.

In the afthernoon we return by boat to the hotel.

Albania

 On this excursion you have unique opportunity to visit neighbouring country

Albania, country of rich cultural heritage and tradition that was totally

isolated from the rest of the world for more than 50 years of 20th century. We

travel by coach to the South along the Adriatic coastline, passing towns

Petrovac, Bar and Ulcinj - the most southern Montenegrian town where European

and oriental cultures mixed. Road from Ulcinj to the boarder passes through old

villages inhabited by Albanians. We cross the boarder in the place called

Sukobin and continue our journey sightseeing Albanian villages near three rivers

Buna, Drini and Kiri that surround fortress Rozafa. We come to Skadar, town on

Skadar lake, the old mercantile center with medieval fortress. We visit

Archeological museum with different objects from Bronze Age, Hellenic and Roman

periods, and then the fortess and also the remnanats of an old settlement from

Bronze Age, 4000 years BC. After visiting Skadar we have lunch in a restaurent

on the river bank and enjoy specialities from traditional Albanian quisine.

After lunch we return to our hotels.
